Martin Barrall - Painter

Biography

Martin studied Art in London from 1971 to 1974 and after initially working as a graphic designer, then became an Art teacher. He Studied for a Masters Degree in 1996.

He sold his first painting in 1969 whilst studying his Art on an Art Foundation course when he could often be found on a Sunday morning on the Bayswater Road selling  his hand-made posters and paintings.

Martin has continued to work on and develop his style ever since.  His paintings are generally on the large side, usually on canvas in acrylics, which he finds to be a great medium for his painterly style and which he combines with fine detail work in the same paintings. For the last two years his work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy Piccadilly London Summer Exhibition.

He has painted many different subjects and themes, with many more recent paintings over the last 15 years based around Epping Forest, including the paintings displayed in the Royal Academy, Piccadilly, London for this and last years Summer Exhibition.

He has also created works in ceramics, print making (including stone lithography), screen printing, block printing and fabric printing.

All works are for sale unless stated. Limited edition signed fine art prints are available of all my paintings @ A2 size. Payment methods to be added.

Post cards  and other items are on sale from time to time please enquire via contact page.
